Over 1,000 trees planted in Baku's suburbs

On the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, another tree-planting campaign was held in Khojasan settlement, near Baku, on April 16 as part of the "Republican Green Marathon," Report informs.

The leadership and staff of the Ombudsman's Office also joined the large-scale tree-planting campaign organized by the IDEA Public Union and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

During the event, more than 1,000 Eldar pines and olive trees were planted on 2 hectares considering the soil and climatic conditions of the Absheron Peninsula.

The IDEA Public Union, which intends to continue its efforts to protect and increase greenery in Azerbaijan, together with its partners, calls on the public to take an active part in protecting our planet and environment.
