Hydrometeorological services of the Turkic states must coordinate their actions to be prepared for climate change, the Ecology and Natural Resources Minister of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev said at the II Meteorological Forum of the Turkic World in Baku, Report informs.
“As in various regions of the Northern Hemisphere, our countries are particularly susceptible to natural hazards, including extreme weather and climate events. To minimize these impacts, it is important to establish effective, coordinated preparedness and response mechanisms in line with the World Meteorological Organization's Early Warning for All initiative. Our country is ready to contribute to regional cooperation in this area and share information obtained through modern observation systems,” Babayev said.
