According to her, the wind is expected to intensify in Baku and Absheron, as well as along the Kur River in the afternoon on January 13: “In this regard, on January 13 it is expected to snow in the morning in Nakhchivan AR, Karabakh, Eastern Zangazur, and in the afternoon, in the Greater Caucasus region. In some places, it will be intense. The temperature will drop sharply. Roads will be icy."
The head of the service said that the process will cover the country in the evening. In some places in the lowlands, it will mainly rain, and in some places, it will be sleet.
“Avalanches are expected in the highlands on January 15 due to the strengthening of the southwest wind,” she said.
Tagiyeva noted that in the evening of January 13 and on 14, along with the cold weather and strong winds, the atmospheric pressure, which will last until January 16, is expected to rise and fall.
"We can compare this effect to the feeling that can be felt as a result of rising and falling to a height of 1,000 meters several times in a short period of time. For this reason, people suffering from cardiovascular diseases are advised to be more careful about their health.”
