According to the data from the automatic stations of control over the quality of atmospheric air, the air quality indicators were within the normal range in January in the Khatai, Nizami, Narimanov districts of Baku, Gulnara Abbasova, a representative of the National Hydrometeorological Department told Report.
In January, dispersed dust particles were recorded in the air in the Sabail district. Nitrogen oxide (IV) was slightly above the norm in Ganja and Sumgayit.
The hydrometeorological center noted that the predominance of rainy days in January led to a decrease in gas mixtures and dispersed dust particles in the atmosphere and, as a result, to an increase in air quality: "The level of air pollution has decreased. Rainy and windy weather is expected in the coming days, and air quality will be normal until the end of January."
