REPORT.AZ/ Last year the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Ministry of Development has provided services to 42,300 hectares of land from the forestry fund of Azerbaijan, including forest restoration measures held on 10,200 hectares, Report informs citing the State Statistics Committee
As a result of the measures taken, new forest trees were planted on the territory of 2,500 hectares.
In general, in 2018, 59.7 tons of fruit, seeds of trees and shrubs were collected from closed areas.
Notably, Cabinet of Ministers determined payments for damage caused to forestry as a result of the collection and accumulation of forest resources in the forbidden zones of Azerbaijan.
