President Ilham Aliyev decreed the provision of one-time financial assistance to persons, who participated in WWII from 1941 to 1945, widows of war veterans, and those awarded orders and medals for selfless work in the rear, Report informs.
They will be paid one-time assistance in the amount of 1,500 manats.
In addition, one-time financial assistance in the amount of 750 manats will be paid to persons awarded with medals and badges for the defense of the city of Leningrad during WWII, as well as those who were in the blockade.
For these purposes, 3.5 million manats will be allocated from the reserve fund of the Azerbaijani president.
