Victory Museum to be built on Shusha's Flag Square

Victory Museum will be constructed on Shusha's iconic Flag Square, Muslim Imranly, an employee of the Shusha State Reserve, said in a statement to Report.

Imranly recalled President Ilham Aliyev's participation in the opening ceremony of Flag Square on September 19, emphasizing that this landmark will serve as a source of immense pride for every Azerbaijani citizen.

The reconstruction work on Shusha's Flag Square commenced in May 2024, Imranli noted. "The square is surrounded by an amphitheater, covering a total area of 9,190 square meters, with 3,693 square meters dedicated to green spaces. The flagpole stands tall at 11.7 meters," he added.

Imranly highlighted that the majority of the perennial plants in the area were preserved and seamlessly integrated into the project's design. "The landscape features native flora, including the majestic plane trees that are synonymous with the region. According to Shusha's master plan, the Victory Museum will be accompanied by a multifunctional concert hall and a shopping center, all set to be built around Flag Square," he said.
