Valery Belsky says voter turnout high at polling stations in Karabakh

International observer, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the Parliament of Belarus Valery Belsky noted with satisfaction the high voter turnout at polling stations in the Karabakh region.

In a conversation with a Report correspondent, the Belarusian parliamentarian emphasized that he also visited the polling station in Shusha. "As of 12:45, the voter turnout in Shusha was almost 50%. We were convinced of the activity of citizens," he said.

Belsky wished Azerbaijan the speedy implementation of plans for the restoration of the liberated territories. He also called the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia "important from the point of view of the effective implementation of agreements reached at the highest state level."
