Kilicdaroglu invites Ince to join Turkish opposition

Turkish presidential candidate from the opposition bloc and chairman of the Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu invited Muharrem Ince, who withdrew his candidacy from the presidential race, to join the opposition, Report informs via TASS.

“My call still stands. Let's put aside old grievances and complaints. We welcome Mr. Ince to the ‘Turkish table.’ Please join,” Kilicdaroglu wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Ince, who heads the Fatherland Party, announced the withdrawal of his candidacy. As the reason for this decision, Ince named inadequate and excessive pressure on him in the form of various provocations, accusations and misinformation.

According to a poll by the sociological company Metropol, at least 49% of Ince's supporters will vote for Kılıçdaroğlu. And only 22% will be ready to vote for the incumbent President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Now the number of candidates has decreased to three: the incumbent president - the single candidate from the Republican Alliance Recep Tayyip Erdogan, his main opponent - the single candidate from the opposition People's Alliance Kemal Kilicdaroglu, as well as the candidate from the Ata alliance Sinan Ogan.
