Over 118,500 ha cleared of landmines and unexploded ordnance in Azerbaijan’s liberated areas to date

A total area of 118,503 ha has been cleared of landmines and unexploded ordnance in Azerbaijan’s liberated areas to date, Samir Nuriyev, the Head of the Presidential Administration, said in an interview with AZERTAC, Report informs.

Samir Nuriyev noted that the works and projects implemented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which has marked its 20th anniversary this year under the leadership of First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, are of particular importance in the liberated territories, as in the whole country: “Certainly, the programs and projects of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the fields of science, education, culture, health, sports and ecology, support for addressing social problems, providing assistance to people in need of special care, conveying the truths of Azerbaijan to the world community, preserving and promoting our culture and national-spiritual values are welcomed by the public of our country.”
