According to observations, there is significant interest in the ongoing early parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Bahar Muradova, chairwoman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Issues told journalists, Report informs.
She noted that the committee has been working with the Central Election Commission to ensure equality and voters’ participation in the election process.
"Meetings have been held with young active women in the community, and educational work has been carried out to encourage them to participate in the elections with a sense of civic responsibility," Muradova said. "30% of the candidates listed on the ballot are women. We will see in the coming hours if they can maintain this percentage."
