Sergey Markov says he saw nothing negative during parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan

"The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan were held in a transparent environment, and we did not record any negative aspects," a Russian observer, Director of the Center for Political Studies, Sergey Markov told Report.

Markov noted that he did not see any negative phenomena while observing the voting process.

"Of course, the voter turnout was not the same as in the presidential elections. But this is understandable," Markov said.

The political scientist congratulated the Azerbaijani people on holding parliamentary elections throughout the entire country: "This is an important historic event. I believe that the new parliament will justify the trust."
