The Baylik village of Lachin is planned to be built and commissioned to residents in late 2024-early 2025, with 91 families to be relocated there, Masim Mammadov, the special representative of the Azerbaijani President in the Lachin district, told Report.
Mammadov noted that it is planned to start the second stage of the restoration of the city of Lachin:
“To date, 2,003 people have been relocated to Lachin, and 20 families are planned to be relocated every month. Some 789 people were relocated to the Zabukh village in 2023, and 59 families were relocated to the Sus village during May-June of this year. We plan to start the second phase of the reconstruction of the city of Lachin.”
The special representative also talked about the construction of the Gorchu settlement of the district: “Gorchu is the largest settlement in the Lachin district and an airport is under construction there. The work on the Gorchu village project will be completed this year, and after that we will start the construction of the Gorchu settlement. Probably, construction works in the settlement will be completed in 2025-2026.”
