The early parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are being conducted openly and transparently, with precinct election commissions working efficiently, according to Nuran Niyazaliev, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and head of the observer mission.
"We see that the precinct election commissions are working in a well-coordinated and very active manner, with their work being carried out at a high level. All of this, of course, indicates that the elections are being conducted openly and transparently, and the citizens of Azerbaijan are being provided with the opportunity to vote for their candidates," he told Report.
Niyazaliev also noted that the elections are of great importance for Azerbaijan.
The head of the observer mission emphasized that his colleagues are also observing the elections at various polling stations and have expressed satisfaction with the voting process.
"They have also noted that the precinct election commissions are well-equipped, and all conditions have been organized for the citizens of Azerbaijan to come and vote freely," Niyazaliev added.
