Azerbaijani ranking MP urges PACE to call Armenia to peace

"PACE should call Armenia for peace," the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) MP Samad Seyidov said this during the discussion of the draft resolution on "Humanitarian consequences of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan" at the autumn session of the organization, the French bureau of Report informs.

"Azerbaijani lands were under occupation for 30 years. Azerbaijan has succeeded in liberating the occupied lands But, unfortunately, there are those in Armenia today, who want to prevent the restoration of peace between the two peoples and attempt to a new war. Azerbaijan is not afraid of war. But Azerbaijan is working for peace, is trying to have situation resolved peacefully. Let's help Armenia resolve the difficult situation at home and call for peace."
