The residents of Lachin district, Azerbaijan will be relocated to Gulabird village in the next phase, with the move scheduled for the second half of this year, the special representative of the Azerbaijani President in Lachin, Masim Mammadov said, Report informs.
Mammadov made the announcement at the official opening ceremony of the “Youth for Green World” 5th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth in Lachin.
He also mentioned that construction work will commence in other villages of the district, including Gorchu, Shalva, Arikli, and others.
“Lachin was our district under occupation for the longest period. Now, it has been transformed into a paradise. The first residents were relocated to Lachin on May 28 of last year. Currently, more than two thousand residents have settled in Lachin city, and over a thousand in Zabukh and Sus. The relocation process will continue in the future,” the special representative stated.
