President's special representative reveals timeline for the start of resettlement to Aghdam

The beginning of resettlement in Aghdam city is planned for autumn 2025, Emin Huseynov, the special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, told Report.

According to him, five quarters are planned to be created in the city.

"Currently, 66 residential buildings are being constructed in the second quarter. The return of the first residents to the city is planned for autumn next year. The quarters will be populated as construction work is completed."

The President's special representative said that construction work continues in three villages in the Aghdam district - Kangarli, Khidirli, and Sarijali. "In addition, work on the restoration of Bash Garvand village is being carried out jointly with Slovak specialists," said Huseynov.
