Prime Minister signs amendment on special quarantine regime

Cabinet of Ministers has amended decision No. 151, "On measures to extend the special quarantine regime and remove some restrictions," dated May 26, 2021.

According to Report, Prime Minister Ali Asadov signed a decision in this regard.

According to the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, under Article 25 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Sanitary and Epidemiological Safety," from September 1, 2021, during the special quarantine regime applied in the country:

At least 80% of the employees of the state bodies (institutions), as well as employees of the establishments listed below must have a certificate of one dose of a vaccine against COVID-19 and from October 1, the second dose of the vaccine or a certificate of a COVID immunity:

- all medical and pharmaceutical enterprises, regardless of the form of ownership;

- all scientific and educational institutions, regardless of the form of ownership;

The appendix to this Decision is accompanied by a list of work and service areas where employees of enterprises operating in the work and service areas must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an immunity certificate.

Moreover, all persons over the age of 18 studying at a higher and secondary vocational education institution are required to have a COVID-19 passport;

In addition, persons over the age of 18 can use the services provided indoors in the following places only with a COVID-19 passport:

-in catering establishments;

-in hotels;

-in large shopping centers.
