Peaceful elections observed across all polling stations in Azerbaijan

Snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are being conducted peacefully at all polling stations, Benedito Machava, an observer from Mozambique and member of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization's (NAMYO) observation mission told Report at polling station No. 4 of the 7th Sabail constituency.

"I was invited here by NAMYO, and my observations give me a reason to say that Azerbaijan's snap parliamentary elections are going very well," Machava stated.

"This is my second time coming to Azerbaijan to observe the electoral process. Previously, I was an observer during the presidential elections, and in both cases, I witnessed a peaceful process."

Machava also spoke about the warm welcome he received in Baku: "As a guest, I was received very well. The people of Azerbaijan are very kind and hospitable. Overall, my impressions of the process are positive."

He added, "What we want to see as observers aligns with what the people are doing. I saw my colleagues from the OIC observing, and I hope our opinions will be the same."
