Participants of Baku Forum get acquainted with construction works carried out in Aghdam - UPDATE

The participants of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue visited Aghdam, which was freed from occupation, and got acquainted with the destroyed cultural monuments and construction works carried out after the Patriotic War, Report informs.

Foreign guests visited the Aghdam Juma Mosque, the destroyed building of the Dram Theater, and the Imarat complex.

During the visit, the participants of the forum were informed about the reconstruction works to be carried out in Aghdam, which was built on the basis of the smart city project, the Victory Museum, the Open Air Occupation Museum, and the Memorial Garden. The guests were presented with images of acts of vandalism committed by Armenians, and the desecration of mosques and religious monuments during the 30-year occupation.

The participants of the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue visited the Aghdam Juma Mosque and the destroyed building of the Aghdam Drama Theater, Report informs.

Some representatives from Muslim countries participated in the event and prayed at the Juma Mosque.

A stone fragment from the Aghdam Juma Mosque, presented to National Leader Heydar Aliyev on May 9, 2000, during the occupation period, which is now displayed in the mosque, aroused the interest of foreign visitors.
