Over 300 qanats contaminated with mines in liberated territories

More than 300 qanats (underground water canals) were contaminated with mines and ammunition in the liberated territories, a research-based report aimed at solving the problem of landmines and unexploded ordnance in Azerbaijan prepared by the Azerbaijan Campaign Against Landmines Public Union said, Report informs.

According to the report, the Kondalanchay, Tartar, Goshgar, Khachin, and Hakari rivers were polluted with mines, and canals were destroyed and mined in the liberated areas.
