Ombudsman holds online event on "Culture of Peace and Human Rights"

Ganja Regional Center of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Gazakh regional branch of the Youth Development and Career Center jointly organized an online event on "Culture of Peace and Human Rights" dedicated to September 21 - the International Day of Peace.

Speaking at the event, the head of Ganja Regional Center Sabuhi Abbasov said that since 1981, the world has been celebrated September 21 as International Day of Peace and that this date is an opportunity to strengthen relations not only among nations but also in the family and society, and to strengthen the fight against violence.

Noting that the peace-loving policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan has always made a valuable contribution to strengthening peace in the world and the region, Abbasov stressed that, unlike our country, the Republic of Armenia continues to violate the human rights of our citizens with its destructive policy.

Also stating that the Azerbaijani Ombudsman Institution has carried out consistent and multifaceted activity to reveal the state policy of Armenia threatening peace and security, Abbasov brought to the attention of the online event participants the appeal of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva to the world community on September 21 - International Day of Peace.
