The provision and protection of the rights and freedoms of the Armenian-origin citizens living in Karabakh, which are established in national legislation and international documents, is always at the center of attention, according to the statement of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan on ensuring and protecting the rights and freedoms of Armenian-origin citizens living in Karabakh, Report informs.

"As a result of local anti-terrorist measures carried out on September 19–20 of this year, the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is a democratic, legal, and secular state, has fully ensured its sovereignty over its territory recognized under international law by eliminating the situation that seriously threatened the rights and freedoms of citizens for many years.

"In Azerbaijan, comprehensive measures are being implemented to effectively protect the rights and freedoms of every citizen regardless of their ethnicity, religion, language, race, and other affiliations, including Armenian-origin citizens living in Karabakh.

"As the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the provision and protection of the rights and freedoms of our Armenian-origin citizens living in Karabakh, which are established in national legislation and international documents, is always at the center of attention.

"We would like to state that if our Armenian-origin citizens living in Karabakh face any problems related to the provision of their rights and freedoms, like every other citizen, they can contact us through the 24/7 Call Center 916, the institution's phone number, as well as through social media accounts, and can apply to the Ombudsman electronically," the statement reads.
