OIC delegation arrives in Azerbaijan, to conduct fact-finding mission in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Ganja

Based on the invitation of Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva, the delegation led by the Chairman of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is visiting Azerbaijan to conduct a fact-finding mission in Aghdam, Fuzuli districts and Ganja city, Report informs.

The delegation includes IPHRC chair Muhammad Lawal Suleiman (Nigeria), IPHRC Vice Chairperson Haci Ali Acıkgul (Türkiye), IPHRC OIC member Hilal bin Said al Shidhani (Oman), Noura bint Zaid Al-Rashoud, Executive Director of the OIC Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) (Saudi Arabia), Deputy Executive Director at the OIC - IPHRC Javed Saqlain (Pakistan), the employee of the OIC IPHRC Ibrahima Saidou Camara (Guinea).

The main purpose of the delegation's visit is to investigate on the spot the facts of the destruction of religious and cultural monuments and cemeteries belonging to Azerbaijanis by Armenia, to collect information about the Azerbaijanis who suffered as a result of the occupation and missile attacks, and to prepare a report based on the results and present them to the international community.
