During the Patriotic War, Azerbaijanis living in various countries around the world, as well as representatives of other nations who supported Azerbaijan's cause, made dedicated efforts to counter the Armenian lobby's smear campaigns, Azerbaijani MP Jeyhun Mammadov said, Report informs.
Speaking about the anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day at today's plenary session of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament), he noted that all citizens of the country, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds, had demonstrated unprecedented solidarity, creating an unbreakable unity on both the front lines and the home front.
"This was a major historic achievement for our people. Today, extensive reconstruction and development work is underway in the territories liberated from occupation. The implementation of major projects in these territories within a short period is the result of President Ilham Aliyev's tireless and dedicated efforts.
Comprehensive work is being carried out in all liberated cities, including infrastructure development, hospitals, schools, residential buildings, cultural facilities, the restoration of our mosques, museums, airports, railways and tunnels. Azerbaijan will continue to develop," he said.
