Media: Elections in Azerbaijan held in free and democratic atmosphere

NEWS.ru, a Russian portal, covered the snap parliamentary elections of Azerbaijan in detail, Report informs.

The portal's articles note that all necessary conditions had been created in the country for the citizens to express their will freely.

"Citizens of Azerbaijan have their fingerprints scanned at polling stations during the parliamentary elections. This is necessary so that one person cannot vote twice. Then, they are registered and receive a ballot. The paper is filled out anonymously and placed in the ballot box," a NEWS.ru correspondent said.

The portal also noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, his wife Mehriban Aliyeva and daughter Leyla Aliyeva voted in the snap parliamentary elections. The family visited the polling station located in Secondary School No. 6 in Baku.
