Mazahir Panahov: Central Election Commission taking necessary measures to conduct free and transparent elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) is taking all necessary steps to conduct free, fair, and transparent presidential elections, CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov said at a meeting with members of the expert group.

Panakhov noted that independent Azerbaijan is on the eve of a significant historical event - early presidential elections on February 7, 2024.

"For the first time, elections are being held in conditions of the complete restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country; voting will be held in all territories liberated from occupation," he said.

Panahov emphasized that in order to conduct free, fair, and transparent presidential elections that meet the requirements of the Constitution and the Electoral Code, all necessary measures are being taken based on the calendar plan developed and approved by the commission.
