In 2024, 11,027 hectares of Azerbaijan's liberated territories were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, Report informs.
The information was announced at a press conference summarizing the activities of the State Border Service for 2024.
As a result, 161 anti-personnel mines, 20 anti-tank mines, and 220 unexploded ordnance were neutralized.
Additionally, last year, to ensure traffic safety, protective embankments extending 1,000 meters were constructed, engineering and technical barriers were installed, and a 30.6 km fiber-optic cable line was laid.
Also, 15.9 km of new roads were built, and 126.5 km of road infrastructure underwent major repairs.
