Jordanian MP: Elections were held in a democratic and transparent manner

"Presidential elections in Azerbaijan were held in a democratic and transparent manner," said the Deputy Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives and the head of the observation mission representing this country, First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of Jordan Parliament, Abdul Raheem Falah Al-Ma'ayah, at a press conference held on February 8 regarding the results of the early presidential elections, Report informs.

He noted that they have observed elections at a number of polling stations: "In general, our representatives visited 14 polling stations. I saw that the elections were organized very transparently. The elections were held at the free will of the people. We, as members of the Jordanian parliament, confirm that the election was conducted in democratic manner. On behalf of the officials of the Jordanian administration, I express my gratitude to the state of Azerbaijan."
