Istanbul holds commemoration ceremony on Heydar Aliyev's death anniversary

A commemorative ceremony on the anniversary of the death of the Azerbaijani people's national leader, Heydar Aliyev, took place in Istanbul, Turkey, Report's local bureau says.

The participants visited the monument to the great leader erected in the Heydar Aliyev Park in the Sariyer district of Istanbul.

The Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva, chairman of Istanbul's Sariyer district municipality Şükrü Genc, chairman of the Marmara Group Foundation for Strategic and Social Studies, Professor Akkan Suver, a staff of the Huseyn Javid School in Istanbul, and others attended the function.

Visitors honored Heydar Aliyev's memory with a minute of silence, laid wreaths and flowers before his monument.

The event participants also visited the bust of theTurkish Republic founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and put flowers in front of it.
