A conference dedicated to the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated Azerbaijani territories, mine clearance, the use of the potential of urbanization in the post-conflict period and the possibilities of international cooperation began its work in Shusha on August 27, Report informs from the city of Shusha.
The event was opened by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev.
In his speech, he emphasized the special role and status of the city of Shusha, which was the capital of the state-khanate with all the proper attributes.
“The state has set itself the task of returning Karabakh to that flourishing state in which Azerbaijanis left it almost 30 years ago, deprived of their happy life and becoming internally displaced persons and refugees,” Hajiyev said.
More than 100 diplomats and military representatives from more than 60 countries and 19 international organizations take part in the conference.
On August 26, the visit of representatives (residents and non-residents) of the diplomatic corps in Azerbaijan to Fuzuli and Shusha began.
