"There are people, who want to undermine democratic and open elections, held in modern technology period," Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Oruj Jalov said.
Report informs that he spoke at the seminar-meeting for chairmen of electoral districts at a seminar-meeting for chairmen of district election commissions.
He noted that someone may take provocative steps in order to find a defect. "Probably, the work carried out by electoral commissions with police should be without any emotions. These issues should be solved timely without inviting the police to the electoral point. Since in the case of police interference, such issues are raised internationally. Of course, you need just a call for police to take action against those who fail to comply with your legal requirements on time and try to hinder your work.”
According to Zalov, no one will be allowed to interfere with the work of electoral points or districts: “Municipal elections will be held at the highest level. On the instruction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, I would like to inform you that there can be no attempt to violate the law. If such cases are observed , it will be prevented definitely.”
