"President Ilham Aliyev is the creator and architect of our national development strategy for the 21st century," Report informs, citing MP Hikmat Babaoglu.
In his opinion, this marks a new stage in strengthening Azerbaijan’s independence, increasing its economic stability, fulfilling social and state obligations, creating a military industry and reorganizing the army, implementing new regional and global projects, defining an offensive diplomatic strategy in Azerbaijan's foreign policy.
"In parallel with it, it is a period of implementation of numerous social projects, improvement of the welfare of its citizens, ensuring of economic development, the building of an inclusive society and achieving progress in all sectors."
He noted that these development traditions, which were characteristic from 2003 to 2018, entered the next, more intensive stage with the re-election of Ilham Aliyev as president in 2018.
"This stage is an event of deep reforms, successful completion of regional projects, and increase of the international prestige of Azerbaijan's two-year chairmanship of the UN Security Council that started in 2011 as a non-permanent member to 2019-2022 when it started to lead the Non-Aligned Movement. But the greatest historic achievement and success of our people under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev after the 2018 presidential elections is undoubtedly the restoration of our territorial integrity in 2020 with a historic victory after the 44-day war."
The parliamentarian noted that this event is not the only brilliant victory of Ilham Aliyev's rule. In general, the greatest victory in the military-political history of Azerbaijan in the last 200 years is the brightest victory.
"Making the world adopt the new balance of power and strategic configuration in our region as a result of the victory was an as difficult a process as it was achieved. After a trilateral meeting held only a few days ago in Brussels, the capital of the European Union, we can confidently say that the new reality has been accepted not only by the countries of the region but also by Europe as a whole."
"The future of our region will be determined on the basis of the five-point basic principles put forward by Azerbaijan. In other words, President Ilham Aliyev's political strategy will dictate possible peace in a complex historic and political geography such as the South Caucasus. At present, our people are experiencing the long-awaited great return ceremony thanks to the new realities created by our historic victory. This is the beginning of our next historic development, prosperity and achievements," Babaoglu said.
