Humanitarian aid convoy sent from Baku on Aghdam-Khankandi road

A convoy with humanitarian aid sent from Baku by the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society to the people of Armenian origin living in Karabakh is moving along the Aghdam-Khankandi road, according to Report’s employee escorting the convoy.

The humanitarian cargo consists of 40 tons of flour products.

A convoy with humanitarian aid sent by the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society to people of Armenian origin living in Karabakh has arrived in Aghdam, according to Report’s employee escorting the convoy.

At present, two trucks with 40 tons of flour products are moving from the territory of the Aghdam district along the Aghdam-Khankandi road.

Today, President of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society Novruz Aslan told reporters that on August 21, in accordance with the decision of the Board of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, a statement was adopted: "According to this statement, assistance is provided to every person, regardless of race, religion and nationality. After the adoption of this statement, this issue is under our attention, and we are currently sending humanitarian aid. The leadership of the Red Crescent Society, as well as our volunteers, will move towards the Aghdam-Khankandi road."

The head of the organization expressed hope that this step would be positively received by the Armenians living in Khankandi and the international community. “If we manage to carry out the evaluation process, in the future we will also be able to deliver other goods that they need,” he added.
