House of Lords member: Azerbaijani election process mirrors that of UK

Invited by Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the UK, Elin Suleymanov, Lord Hussain noted the positive atmosphere among the Azerbaijani people.

He highlighted the joy felt by citizens following the liberation of Karabakh after 30 years, which was evident in their expressions.

"My experience here has been very pleasant, and I observed a high level of voter participation," Lord Hussain stated.

He observed the elections in the cities of Shusha and Fuzuli. Citing the election system, he said, "It is nearly identical to what I am accustomed to in the UK. This was my first time observing an election abroad, but there were no surprises. Elections in Azerbaijan are conducted in the same manner as those in Great Britain."
