The heads of the CIS and OSCE/ODIHR observation missions at the parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Leonid Anfimov and Ditmir Bushati, have held talks in Baku, reads a statement by the CIS Executive Committee, Report informs.
The parties discussed issues of holding early elections to the Parliament of Azerbaijan and the participation of international observers in them.
In particular, they discussed the principles of forming missions, the work of long-term observers, and approaches to preparing final statements.
"We are creating a Council of Coordinators to work on a statement on the results of monitoring the preparation and conduct of the election campaign. It includes the heads of delegations of the CIS states and bodies. We plan to announce the results of our work during the final press conference, which will be held on September 2," reads the statement.
In turn, Bushati informed Anfimov about the approaches of the OSCE observation mission to monitoring the election campaign and its quantitative composition.
"The parties agreed on the usefulness of holding such meetings and exchanging information during the election campaign," the press service of the CIS Executive Committee noted.
