Heads of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan CECs discuss cooperation

The delegation of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan, headed by Chairman Zayniddin Nizamkhodjaev, has observed the snap elections to the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the press service of Uzbekistan's CEC.

Nizamkhodjaev met with the head of the Azerbaijan CEC Mazahir Panahov in Baku.

The chairman of Uzbekistan's CEC noted that fruitful cooperation is being implemented between the electoral bodies of the two countries.

"There is a constant exchange of experience, information, and best practices with the aim of further improving the electoral process. One of the effective forms of cooperation is the mutual invitation of observers to participate in the monitoring of national election campaigns," Nizamkhodjaev noted.

In turn, the chairman of the CEC of Azerbaijan expressed confidence that such cooperation will contribute to the holding of free and democratic elections in Azerbaijan.
