Flag Square inaugurated in Shusha

On September 19, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the inauguration of Flag Square in Shusha, Report informs via Azertac.

Aydin Karimov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Shusha district, briefed the head of state on the completed work.

The reconstruction of Flag Square began in May 2024, with the design developed by the Baku State Design Institute based on a concept from Chapman Taylor.

The square, which features an amphitheater, spans 9,190 square meters, with 3,693 square meters designated as green spaces. The flagpole stands at a height of 11.7 meters.

Future plans for the area include the construction of a Victory Museum, a multifunctional concert and performance hall, and a shopping center, all in accordance with the Master Plan of the city of Shusha.
