Azerbaijan embodies how forces and opportunities are used to build a state and form a nation, former Serbian President Boris Tadic said at an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, Report informs.
Boris Tadic recalled that in the 1990s, when countries began to gain independence after the collapse of the USSR, each of them needed a founding father, a person who would lay the foundation for a future independent state.
"Heydar Aliyev became such a person for Azerbaijan," Tadic said.
