Erdoğan approves agreement with Azerbaijan on defense industry

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has approved the agreement on cooperation with Azerbaijan in the defense industry, Report informs, citing Resmi Gazete.

The "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in the defense industry" was signed on October 31, 2017, in Baku.

The agreement entered into force with the approval of Erdoğan.

The sixth meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was held in Baku. Following the event, President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the signing ceremony of Azerbaijani-Turkish documents. The agreement was signed by Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and Turkish National Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli.
