Emergency ministry educates personnel, cadets on climate change ahead of COP29 in Baku

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) held an informative event in connection with the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), set to take place in Baku.

Report informs, citing the ministry, that the ministry officials and cadets from the MES Academy participated in the event.

Akbar Guliyev, Deputy Head of the State Agency for Nuclear and Radiological Activity Regulation under Ministry of Emergency Situations, delivered a speech highlighting Azerbaijan's initiatives to minimize the consequences of climate change.

He also provided insight into the agency's work in ensuring nuclear and radiation safety ahead of COP29.
