Deputy head of executive committee: All residents of Khojaly want those who committed crimes in Meshali to be punished

All residents of Khojaly want those who committed crimes in Meshali to be brought to responsiblity, Lamiya Garayeva, deputy head of the Khojaly district executive committee, said, according to Report.

She said the detention of Vagif Khachatryan shows that the perpetrators of the massacres committed in Karabakh will be brought to account sooner or later:

“As a result of the policy of the head of state, our martyrs are being avenged. The reports of detention of Vagif Khachatryan, whose hand was soaked in the blood of innocent people in Meshali village and then in Khojaly district, are encouraging. Issues that international organizations have not fulfilled for years are resolved thanks to the will of the head of state.”

Laman Garayeva is the daughter of martyr Yusifali Garayev. During the genocide of 1992, he was one of the 13 members of the detachment that defended about 250 civilians who escaped from Khojaly. They were captured after staying in the forest for three days and later shot dead by Armenians.
