ANAMA, UNDP mull opportunities for cooperation in mine action

Samir Poladov, the deputy chairman of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), met with a delegation of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Report informs.

The main purpose of the meeting, which was also attended by UNDP consultant Ian Mansfield for the establishment of the International Centre of Excellence and Training for Mine Action in Azerbaijan, was to discuss the creation of the Center and the increase of resources, as well as the strengthening the exchange of relevant knowledge and skills.

As part of the meeting, the sides exchanged views views on the problem of landmines in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, increasing the opportunities for cooperation on its elimination, and other issues of mutual interest.
