Coordinator of CIS IPA: Electoral legislation of Azerbaijan complies with int'l standards

The electoral legislation of Azerbaijan complies with international standards, the coordinator of the group of international observers from the CIS IPA Andrey Yatskin said at a meeting in the central office of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), Report informs.

He added that the observers held a number of meetings in Azerbaijan and highly appreciated the conditions created for candidates ahead of the elections.

In turn, the deputy chairman of the YAP, the head of the Central Office Tahir Budagov emphasized the importance of such missions in terms of exchanging experience among the member countries of the organization.

Budagov reminded that the upcoming elections to the parliament will be the first parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan held throughout the sovereign territory of the country.

He noted that all the necessary conditions have been created in Azerbaijan for free and transparent voting in the elections. He also spoke in detail about the events held in preparation for the elections.
