CIS observers: All electoral rights of Azerbaijani citizens fully realized

Observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) mission are satisfied with the voting process in the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, Lidiya Smirnova, a representative of the mission, told the Karabakh bureau of Report.

High voter turnout was observed at the 47th polling station of the 124th electoral district in Shusha.

“This is my first time in Azerbaijan as part of the observer mission. We have been at this 47th polling station since its opening. I want to say that the atmosphere is very friendly. We saw a large number of voters, got acquainted with the features of your electoral system and the features of the voting procedure. I can say that all electoral rights of citizens are fully realized in accordance with the requirements of the law,” Smirnova noted.

Maryam Fayzulina, an observer from the CIS mission, in turn, said that voting is proceeding as usual at the polling station she observed. “I am an observer from the CIS. Voting is proceeding as usual. All conditions for citizens to vote have been created at the polling station,” she added.
