CIS Interparliamentary Assembly mission begins monitoring presidential elections in Azerbaijan

The mission of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA) began monitoring the progress of the early presidential elections in Azerbaijan.

Report informs that the observation mission, which includes members of parliaments and senators from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, is headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Zhakip Asanov.

Asanov first visited polling station No. 2 of electoral district No. 7 of the Sabayil district, located at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan.

After the opening of the polling station at 08:00, the head of the CIS IPA observer mission got acquainted with the conditions here and asked several questions to the head of the polling station.

The head of the polling station, Suleyman Aliyev, noted that all conditions for holding elections have been created here, emphasizing that both local and foreign observers have been visiting this polling station for several days.
