CEC: Number of indoor meeting venues for presidential candidates increased

Following the request of presidential candidates, the number of indoor meeting venues has been increased, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Rovzat Gasimov, told a meeting of the CEC held today, Report informs.

According to him, 44 media outlets that want to join the paid campaigning process applied to the commission.

"Earlier, this number was 34. Interest in these elections has risen. Another possibility for candidates is the provision of free air time," said Gasimov.

CEC Chairman Mazahir Panahov said that if the candidates need to hold a meeting in indoor venues, conditions are created for it.

He said that all candidates have the right to hold a meeting.
