CEC chairman says representatives of political parties should constitute majority in election commissions

The term of the commissions are five years. Once the Milli Majlis forms the Central Election Commission, the District Election Commissions will be formed, " chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panakhov said at today's session of the Central Election Commission, Report informs.

He noted that the formation of the district election commissions is the exceptional power of the Central Election Commission.

"Representatives of political parties should constitute the majority in election commissions. Some democratic countries do not have as many political parties as we do. Parties should act so that people learn about them," he said.
