Cabinet of Ministers discuss fight against coronavirus

The Cabinet of Minister has held a videoconference chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov to mull the country's latest situation in the fight against the pandemic.

Assistant to the Azerbaijani President on Economic Affairs, Aide to the First Vice President, Health Minister and his Deputy, Chairman of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance, Executive Heads of several cities and districts, chief physicians and directors of 4 large hospitals designated for treatment of coronavirus patients, attended the meeting.

It was stressed that the number of COVID-19 cases in Azerbaijan has increased since mid-June, which is a matter of serious concern to the government.

The Prime Minister said that since the introduction of the quarantine, there is a positive trend in the COVID-19 fight.

He underlined the importance of increasing the number of beds and strengthening the material and technical base.

The meeting discussed several problems, and the Prime Minister gave relevant instructions.
