The electoral process in Azerbaijan is similar to what can be observed in the United Kingdom and, by and large, in any other country, according to Lord Qurban Hussain, a member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament who is monitoring the elections in Azerbaijan.
According to Report, speaking to journalists in Shusha, Lord Hussain explained that he was invited to observe the elections as a member of the Azerbaijan Parliamentary Group in the British Parliament. He emphasized that "no one tells the voter what to do or who to vote for" and that this process closely mirrors the democratic practices he was raised with in the United Kingdom.
"I haven't noticed anything that surprised or puzzled me," Lord Hussain remarked, expressing his satisfaction with the opportunity to witness the Azerbaijani elections firsthand.
